25 Thousands Residents Targeted for Vaccination at SUGBK

Total 22 of 25 residents, from age 12 to elderly, are targeted to participate in COVID-19 vaccination which carried out at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (7/3). Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and his subordinates briefly monitored this vaccination service.

This vaccination service was initiated by three pillars in collaboration with number of professional organizations such as Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Jaya, Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) Jaya, Indonesian Peditrician Association (IDAI) Jaya, and Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) Jaya, and supported by Jakarta Walubi.
From observation on the field, although residents who came to this vaccination site reached tens thousands, they were very orderly and obeyed health protocol. Those who came for vaccination were directed by joint officers from TNI, Police, and Satpol PP. In order to make sure vaccination run in orderly manner, committee regulates access to enter and exit the area based on region of origin.
Central Jakarta to Open Mass Vaccination for Students Next WeekAccording to IDI Jaya member, Sony Novriandi, residents were very enthusiastic about participating this activity. They came in orderly manner and adhered to health protocol.
"Vaccination in SUGBK is organized by Jakarta Government through collaboration with vendors. One of them is Walubi, that responsible for providing health workers. THere are also many professional organizations involved, such as health workers from TNI, Police, and health centers," he explained.
Priyana Darmayanti, member of IDAI Jaya added, her side was grateful to be involved in this mass vaccination which served children aged 12-17 at GBK.
"We are asked to help vaccination at GBK because government starts to hold vaccination for children. Our personnel are tasked for health screening, vaccination, and others," she conveyed.
She encouraged residents to support their children to get vaccinated because it is very important for children's immunity. Moreover, vaccine itself has been checked and recommended by IDAI.
This vaccination service was planned to be held until 15:00. But her side continued to serve if there were people who came for vaccination after the hour.
